Views from the Nest – Jamie Burch 8/17/16

Our 2016-17 journey may have started with dark clouds in the sky, but the smiling faces of your children coming to our first school day were bright lights. Your children are so polite and well mannered, reflecting the values you have instilled. I am so blessed to work with your children and
already appreciate your support.

And what an exciting start to the school year! As I walked the halls visiting the classrooms, I saw so many exciting things happening from day one – Ms. Lynn practicing routines with her 1st graders, Ms. Coleman’s 2nd grade starting the day with brain games, Ms. Kaelin having her 5th graders use
critical thinking skills to solve a problem, Ms. Parker integrating Spanish into Kindergarten calendar time, and the Middle School teachers reviewing behavior and classroom expectations with their students to get them off on the right foot, just to name a few.

I can’t wait to see how this year develops and to watch and guide your children’s development through the wonderful faculty here. I know the first few weeks of school can be a challenge, and I am here any time to talk to you about any aspect of SPPS life you would like to discuss.

I am blessed to serve as principal here and SPPS is blessed that you have chosen us for your children and your family.

In Christ,

Jamie Burch, Sts. Peter & Paul School Principal
