In 2011, a “Nut Free Policy” was established at Sts. Peter & Paul School. The decision was made quickly to ensure the safety of the children but without the benefit or research or significant input from stakeholders.
In response, a committee of the SPPS Council was established to research and recommend a policy for SPPS to adopt. The “Health & Wellness” Committee, chaired by Dr. Greg D’Angelo, submitted a draft of the recommended policy and it was approved at the SPPS Council meeting on August 27, 2012.
