The Duke University Talent Identification Program 7th Grade Talent Search enables the students identified to participate in an above-level testing experience by taking either the ACT or SAT as a 7th grader as well as receive recognition and access to other educational resources and opportunities. In order to be eligible for the Talent Search, a student must score at or above the 95th national percentile on an accepted subtest or total battery/composite of a grade-level standardized achievement test or score a standard score at or above 125 or 95th national percentile on the full scale or composite score of an ability test. Sts. Peter & Paul Regional Catholic School had 43% of the 7th graders qualify for the Duke TIP Talent Search in the 2017-2018 school year!
Are you looking for a way to get involved at SPPS? The Great Leaps reading program is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer your time and talent. Great Leaps volunteers donate 45 minutes one day each week to work individually with students to help them gain confidence, knowledge, and reading proficiency. A training session will be provided to help you administer the program. This program runs on volunteers – the more volunteers we have, the more students will receive this wonderful experience. If you are able to donate your time, please contact Kristin Majors firstname.lastname@example.org
