SPPS Athletics & Activities
The Athletic program at Sts. Peter & Paul is an extension of the learning experience for our students. We believe that participation in athletics provides students the opportunity to continue to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially in a Catholic environment beyond the school day.
Before participating in any sporting activities at Sts. Peter & Paul each student is required to have all of the following forms filled out completely. Athletic Forms can be obtained by clicking on the hyperlinks below.
First, read the Athletic Handbook for the current school year, fill out the form to acknowledge that you have read the handbook and agree to its rules and regulations. If you have any questions or don’t see a form you need, contact us at email@example.com.
Fill out Handbook Acknowledgement Form and return it to the office or to Mrs. Eddy. One form can be filled out per family, however all the student/athletes must sign the form.
Physicals can be scanned and emailed to Beth Eddy (firstname.lastname@example.org), turned in to the office, or faxed to school (859-254-9050).
Fill out pre-participation form print and take it and the Physical Form to the doctor and then turn it in to us. Be sure to turn in the Physical Form signed and dated by the doctor.
Fill out alternate Physical and Participation Form and turn it in to us. Be sure to turn in the Physical Form signed and dated by the doctor.
Coaches will give you the Athletics/Activities Form with dates and cost. You can view this form below.

Athletic Programs available at Sts. Peter & Paul School include:
Basketball– Grades 5-8
Grades 5/6 – Developmental with a focus on fundamental development, teamwork, and learning the rules of the game. The goal is to create a solid foundation in dribbling, passing, shooting, man to man defense and offensive strategies.
Grades 7/8 – Competitive Players will continue developing and extending fundamentals and building a solid foundation. Offensive and Defensive strategies and tactics will be covered more in depth.
Cross Country – Grades 4-8
SPPS Cross Country is a competitive but fun sport that involves weekly meets in Frankfort, KY where the runners are split into “heats” based on age group (2nd to 4th grade and 5th to 8th grade) and gender (boys and girls) with each “heat” running separately. Each of the four groups runs about a one mile course around the State Library and Archives. The races are timed and ribbons are handed out weekly for the top twenty places in each “heat”. We also meet once a week (usually on Monday) for a practice run, team building, and tips on running distances. It is low pressure, low stress and a LOT of fun…with no huge expectations except to have a good time and get some good exercise!!
Dance Team – Grades 5-8
Volleyball – Grades 5-8
B Team – Developmental with a strong emphasis on building fundamental skills, building confidence, and learning the rules of the game.
A Team – Competitive – Continued emphasis on skill training with additional focus on more advanced offensive and defensive systems.
