Sts. Peter and Paul School’s Short Street Campus, located at 423 West Short Street in downtown Lexington, serves the needs of students from PreK4 through eighth grade.
The Lexington Children’s Theater, Opera House, Living Arts & Science Center, Lexington Public Library, Gratz Park, and much more are located within walking distance. The proximity to these organizations perfectly complements the expanded arts program offered at SPPS, which includes band, choral, visual arts, and drama.
A $12 million renovation and addition to the original school, built in 1913, was completed in 2010. Generous donations from Knights of Columbus (new gymnasium), Alltech (science lab), and W. Paul & Lucille Caudill Little (restored theater), along with the hard work and donations of many others, allowed the school to transform into a top-flight modern primary and middle school facility while retaining its historical legacy.
